It’s convenient from the city center, but the riverside area of Bạch Đằng Park is long — when calling Grab, it’s best to pin “Saigon Waterbus Station” or the full address rather than just entering Bạch Đằng Park to avoid being dropped off at the wrong riverside location.

Where is best to ride to from Bạch Đằng pier?

On your first ride you don’t have to go to the final stop. If you just want a simple experience to see Landmark 81 and the riverside scenery, it’s recommended to ride to Bình An; from Bạch Đằng it’s about 15 minutes, not too short, and suitable for disembarking to take photos and then returning to District 1 on your return ticket.[1]

When traveling from Bạch Đằng towards Bình An or the more northern stops and wanting to photograph Landmark 81 and the west-bank cityscape, you can generally prioritize the left side in the direction of travel; on the return to Bạch Đằng consider the right side.
